Day 1 (Perth – York – Lavendale Farm)

Pickup 09:00am
Visit York (the oldest inland town in WA)
Visit York Suspension Bridge (swinging bridge) over the Avon River
Visit Mt Brown lookout with 360 degree views of the township of York & surrounding countryside
Enjoy a coffee + Lunch (at own expense) from local York Café
Grocery shopping at local store (IGA) in York for self-catering accommodation
2pm check into accommodation (Lavendale Farm)
Animal feeding (in the evening – confirm time with Katherine on arrival) – goats + sheep
Dinner – (self-catering)
Overnight – Lavendale Farm Cottages (at own expense – bookings essential)

Day 1 (Perth – Wave Rock – Lavendale Farm)

Pickup 07:00am
Visit York (the oldest inland town in WA)
Enjoy a coffee (at own expense) from local Bakery​​, York
A quick stop at York Suspension Bridge which connects residents east of the Avon River to the center of York
Drive to Hyden (home to Wave Rock and Hippo’s Yawn)
Wave Rock – a huge iconic granite rock, shaped like an ocean wave, estimated to be over 2.7 billion years old!
Enjoy lunch in Hyden (at own expense)
Grocery shopping at local store for self-catering accommodation
6pm check into accommodation (Lavendale Farm)
Dinner – (self-catering)
Overnight – Lavendale Farm Cottages (at own expense – bookings essential)

 

Day 2 (York – Perth)

After breakfast (self-catering) enjoy a stroll along the river.
The sandalwood plantation is great to wander through.
Visit the horses – they always appreciate a scratch behind the ears or a brushing if you’re used to horses
Children will enjoy the playground
Visit the farm animals (goats, sheep, emu + alpacas)
Depart for Perth at 10:30am
On the way back to Perth pass by huge wheat farms, fruit orchards and rural farms.
Enjoy lunch in the Swan Valley (at your own expense)
Visit The House of Honey – owner operated specialising in raw, unpasteurised, pure varietal honeys. Healing honeys with intense flavours, taste their delicious honeys from Jarrah, Banksia, chilli and truffle honey. The shop showcases bee pollen, royal jelly, candles, beauty products, honey sparkling water and giftwares. See the live bee display or try a honey ice-cream in the café.
Visit Mondo Nougat + Morish Nuts – enjoy free nut + nougat tastings.
Visit Whistlers Chocolate Co. A family owned business, it is now the oldest confectionery company in the State. Taste quality handmade chocolate that is simply irresistible.
Drop off back at accommodation approximately 5pm.
