Arrive Rockingham 09:30am
Purchase food + drinks from Pengo’s Cafe to take to Penguin Island (if required – at own expense)
Take the 10am ferry to Penguin Island (see WA’s largest penguin colony and the world’s smallest penguins)
Explore the nature trails & look outs to take in spectacular views of the marine park
Visit the Penguin Feeding Show (10:30 – 11:00am)
Board the glass bottom boat at 11:15am for a leisurely 45min cruise with guided commentary (Penguin and Sea Lion Cruise)
Take the 12:10pm ferry back to Shoalwater
Depart 12:30pm
Enjoy lunch (at own expense) at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour – famous for their fresh fish + seafood.

Visit The Roundhouse, the oldest public building in WA opened in January 1831. Built to hold any person convicted of a crime in the settlement and was used until 1886. (Gold coin donation) (open daily) 2:45 – 3:30
Visit Kings Park Botanic Garden – see the State War Memorial and enjoy the beautiful views of the Swan River, Perth City skyline and Elizabeth Quay. Wildflower season is Sept-Oct.  (4:00 – 4:30pm)

EARLY JUNE – MID SEPTEMBER

Penguin Island is closed from the day after the Public Holiday in early June to mid September for the winter nesting season. During this time the only cruise available is the 90 minute Penguin Island Wildlife Cruise.
Enjoy the 60 min glass bottom boat ride to see dolphins, sea lions, pelicans + ospreys.  The cruise disembarks on Penguin Island for a guided 30 minute walk that takes in the spectacular beaches, coastal look outs and nesting sea birds of this stunning island nature reserve.
